A sound workshop in Dartmoor organized by AuneHead Arts

I was involved in a sound workshop for 9 days which brought together 5 sound artists and 5 writers organized by sound artist Richard Povall and writer Clare Seal to be inspired by the Dartmoor landscape. This resulted in 3 groups being formed of 3 or 4 people who worked collaboratively  each group producing a piece of sonic sculpture that worked within the larger group exhibition which was formed at the end of the workshop.
These pieces are now touring North Devon at Exeter Phoenix, Plymouth and other selected locations around the area.

July 2001
Working with John Frankland on 'Untitled Boulder'
           Tim Brennan on 'Three Manuoures'
Marcus Coates on 'GB2CV Chiff Chaff at Compton Verney Art Gallery

I was involved in the preparation of the art pieces, including the organization of the press lunch as well as the two private views. This included working alongside the team at Compton Verney as well as the artists so that I could fluently explain the ethos of the projects, as well as the future plans for the building, to the press and public. In addition to the daily running of the gallery, dealing with any problems that may have occurred during their summer program. They also invited me into the deconstruction meetings, of how they though the program had gone, and asked my viewed on my experience of the place as well as what could have been improved.

July 2000
Working with Anya Gallaccio on 'Repeans'
Simon Patterson on 'Landskip' at Compton Verney Art Gallery

I was directly involved in the construction of Anya Gallaccio’s landscape piece ‘Repeans’ this was a join initiative between the art organization Locus+, based in Newcastle and Compton Verney. The project involved a colossal team effort to produce it on time and to co-ordinate everyone with the necessary skills to produce the piece, in exact detail to Anya’s plans.
